My Philosophy
Classrooms environments should be welcoming , safe, and supportive to promote confidence for learning so children can contribute and achieve learning along side with their peers and feel valued and recognized for their effort. I want to make sure that all my children know what is required to be successful learners by ensuring that they have access to the necessary resources and support for the progression of their learning.
I will give relevant and constructive feedback along with instructions on how to go about making the changes for improvement and see that students action the feedback. I will provide support by changing information so all the learning areas can be accessed by allchildren in the classroom. This will be achieved through planned and meaningful program's using the Australian Curriculum where children will be able to work towards and show their understanding in activities. To test their understanding assessments will be used and created in accordance with the school business plan and delivery mode as necessary. I will also incorporate the use of( ICT)Information Communication Technology into the learning areas so children can use modern technology and keep up with the changing times that develop in the world around them.
I plan to build partnerships with parents and guardians by inviting them to discuss, call, correspond or use electronic messaging so their is a two way communication. It is important for me to know as much as possible about the children in my classroom and their family so as learning and teaching adjustments can be made as each child is an individual and they bring their own experiences, background, culture and values with them.
In becoming a successful teacher I recognize that learning is continual right through out life not only for children but for myself and to reflect on my own teaching and children's practices will allow me to deliver children the best opportunity for their learning so they can grow and become successful.
