STUDENTS LEARN BEST........
'Students are able to learn best when information is presented in one of several clear and effective instructional design choices. In fact, research has proved that the order and organization of learning activities affects the way information is processed and retained.' (Glynn & DiVesta, 1977; Lorch & Lorch, 1985; Van Patten, Chao, & Reigeluth, 1986).

2.2 Content selection and organisation
Organise content into an effective learning and teaching sequence.
The purpose of teaching in sentimentality is so that students are guided to a particular point. My example of effective sequential learning is in the English Curriculum area is where I planned lessons on how to write an imaginary text for daily writing. Curriculum link Plan, draft and publish imaginative, informative and persuasive texts, choosing and experimenting with text structures, language features, images and digital resources appropriate to purpose and audience(ACELY1714)This was scaffold-ed in a series of lessons using the 'Blake's Writers Guide' as per imported images below. Students were able to master the structure of the stages in imaginative text writing. The resource I used had a great impact that a set of text was bought for the school as an English resource.
The schools numeracy program is delivered to all year levels through ORIGO Stepping Stones. It is a core mathematics program, written by a team of experts focused on educational research that demonstrates how children learn math most effectively. The program has been proven to be successful throughout its use up to date including the 2018 NAPLAN results. Lessons are sequential and the lessons build on from one to the next.
The program provides access to online content and resources from all grades. It gives teachers the confidence and knowledge to successfully accommodate mixed abilities in the classroom.
I would change some of the Origo delivery methods used to teach the content to suit the Australian Curriculum Mathematics. One example was learning place value where the student journal book did not teach how to separate the thousands with a space and not a comma. For one math lesson I used the Cole' s supermarket catalog to deliver the math lesson as I wanted it to relate to real life learning of adding multiplying and estimating to make purchases.
